Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Perfcent ("we", "our", "us") is a WhatsApp-first commerce and CRM platform for small and medium businesses. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data when you use Perfcent or when your customers interact with your Perfcent-powered WhatsApp chatbot.
2. Data We Collect
Business owners and staff (dashboard users):
- Name, email address, and password (managed by Supabase Auth)
- Business name, WhatsApp phone number, and business settings
- Activity logs: login events, dashboard views, order and payment actions
End customers (WhatsApp users):
- WhatsApp phone number and display name (provided by Meta)
- Messages sent to the business via WhatsApp
- Orders, quotes, bookings, and payment status
- Delivery address and notes (only if provided by the customer)
3. How We Use Data
- To operate the Perfcent dashboard and WhatsApp bot on behalf of the business
- To process orders, send quotes, and record payments
- To send push notifications and WhatsApp messages relevant to the business
- To improve the product and debug issues
- We do not sell data to third parties
- We do not use customer WhatsApp messages for advertising
4. WhatsApp and Meta
Perfcent uses the Meta WhatsApp Business API to send and receive messages. When your customers message your Perfcent-powered number, those messages transit through Meta's infrastructure subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy. We only store message content that is necessary to operate the commerce and CRM features.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS (EU West region)
- Access tokens and API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256
- All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2+
- Row-level security (RLS) ensures each business can only access its own data
6. Data Retention
Business and customer data is retained for the duration of the business account. When a business account is closed, its data is deleted within 30 days. Individual end-customer data can be deleted on request — see Section 8.
7. Your Rights
- Access: request a copy of your data
- Correction: update inaccurate data via the dashboard Settings page
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability: export your customer and order data via the dashboard
